My biggest influence as an artist is that I grew up during the birth of the internet, as the last generation to learn by both analog & digital processes.
DAN DOWDING was raised in the New England town of Westerly, Rhode Island. He explored the analog video process making movies on his parents VHS camera, editing the tapes deck-to-deck. He was awarded "Director of the year" in 2008 for his thesis film Reflection at the Savannah College of Art & Design which went on to screen at festivals worldwide collecting a handful of nominations and awards. Dan has since worked for numerous post-production facilities in Los Angeles California as a professional editor most notably FOX Digital and Al Jazeera America.
His company MEDIA POLLUTION was formed in 2016 in order to seek production of independent projects. Media Pollution now located at The BREWERY ARTIST LOFTS is working to merge recycled technologies with new media to create interactive electronic installations.
